EBOSS – Pulman Arena & Indoor Courts Redevelopment

The Pulman Arena & Indoor Courts Redevelopment featured the use of both suspended concrete and light weight steel joist systems to match the structural design criteria by utilizing the benefits and advantages of both systems.

The use of both the suspended concrete and light weight steel joist systems to match the structural design criteria by utilizing the benefits and advantages of both systems to the specific areas of the building that they suited best.

The self-supporting nature of the suspended concrete floor system aided in reducing the construction programme of this multi staged project.

The SPM fire rating method was applied to the suspended concrete floor areas eliminating the requirement for fire rated gypsum board systems saving significant time and cost.

BIM modelling with our Vertex design software of the light weight steel joist system allowed offsite manufacture of the materials for these suspended floors again saving time for the onsite construction phase and reducing onsite material waste in these areas.
